Maintain Your Power
First, Maintaining your power is very powerful but sometimes as Network Marketers we can get sucked into losing our power.
So, When someone is cynical, skeptical, and negative, and just hitting you with one question are another and wanting you to convince them, that is them taking your power. We dont want to do that. We want to maintain our power and stay in posture.
The One Word that will Enable you to Make Money
So, What is that one word? That Word is, “why”
Now its not the why that makes you cry. Its the actual Word Why. Learn to ask more questions and Embrace the power of Using the Word, Why. If your backed into a corner and your prospect is hitting you with questions and you really don't know where to go- Just ask them, “Why is that important to you”
So, I'll give you a few scenarios when using the Word why.
Examples of using the Word “Why” to make money
You can use the word “why” in so many ways.
Like for example, if you are in Travel and The prospect voices that they would love to go to a certain destination, You could ask ” Why haven't you gone yet? When are you gonna go?
But a scenario could be such as edifying a prospect. In some companies, the culture is to do 3 way calls with an upline. Be sure to Edify the Upline and NOT the Prospect. If you edify the prospect there may be a pulling of power. For example, if the prospect is edified and works a great job. One of the first things a prospect might do is go through the details about how great that job is- again the pulling of power.
The best question to ask would then be ” Well then, WHY are we on the phone. If your doing so great, WHY are we talking”
If you go into a sales pitch at that point, you're not going to close. There will be a big pause If you ask that question.
You see, in the psychology of sales, when people sigh or there is a pause, often the truth is about to come out. If they hit you with ” Explain the comp plan to me” ASK THEM- “just curious, why is that important to you? Are you looking to make extra money? Whats the Reason?”
Ask then Why Questions. They will feed you everything you need to know.
Even after they watch a presentation and they say ” Eh, I really didnt like it” or anything that is similar, ASK: Just Curious, WHY did you watch the presentation? What were you hoping to see?”
Ask that why question. They will feed you the information and tell you the problems.
Again, Ask more questions. Don't be the person that does all the talking because you just might talk them right out of the sale.
